Live Stages
Live Stages
The live stages are focal points of Carnival, where you’ll enjoy a great line-up of artists. Some local, some traditional Calypsonians, and some surprise superstar show stoppers. Expect the unexpected!
Emslie Horniman's Pleasance Park Stage
This is the biggest stage of Notting Hill Carnival and is a great place to come to watch and see some of the most exciting new music in the UK and beyond. Generally the stage is managed by sponsors such as Red Bull and S&C.
Powis Square Stage
Opposite the Tabernacle, this stage is at the heart of Carnival. It has taken many forms over the years and often gives musicians, artists and performers from the local community an opportunity to perform their art.
Meanwhile Gardens
A stage especially for families with young children. This is organised by the staff at Meanwhile Gardens, and has a stage that features children’s entertainers and interactive performances. During NHC this community green space is a popular stop-off for families with young children, and is a great spot for watching the parade pass by too.
A four acre community run park established in 1976 and transformed from a derelict wasteland. In 2018 Meanwhile Gardens was awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, this is the highest award given to UK volunteer groups. The QAVS is equivalent to the MBE. This prestigious award recognises exceptional work done by volunteer groups in their communities. This is wonderful recognition for Meanwhile Gardens and all the volunteers that works so hard in contributing towards its services in the community and in protecting a unique community green space.
