Dansa is the artistic director and co-founder of the Hibiscus Dance Group, and performed for more than 50 years in many parts of the world before leaving Montserrat to reside in England.
In addition to being a dancer, he is a choreographer, singer-song writer, teacher, drummer, costume designer and bandleader. As part of his long-term involvement with the Claudia Jones Organisation in Hackney, Dansa has used his talents to introduce Afro-Caribbean folk dance to young people in Easter and summer holiday programmes as well as in various colleges and schools.
Dansa joined the ABC London Calypso Tent in 2007 and has been an ardent participant, performing in the competition and on the World Music Stage at Powis Square over the Notting Hill Carnival weekend.
