Shakka

Shakka is a singer songwriter and producer who was born and bred in Ladbroke Grove/Notting Hill. He is of Dominican heritage and draws on his culture of soca and reggae music to produce vibrant songs.

Shakka is also influenced by house music, grime, neosoul, 80's pop music and rock bands such as Cold Play. Shakka first made his mark in the UK scene when he featured on Wretch 32's hit single "Blackout" in 2013 which peaked at #6 in the UK singles charts.

In the years that have followed Shakka has sold out headline shows, toured globally and developed a strong fanbase in the UK and increasingly in the US. ? Career highlights for Shakka have been winning two MOBO Awards for Best Rnb/Soul in 2015 & 2016, selling out Koko Camden (1400 capacity) and being heralded by Wyclef as "the next one" in terms of being a huge global artist. 

Shakka has had great success this year with his single "Man Down" which peaked at No.25 in UK singles charts, racked up over 30 million streams and has silver certificate status. Shakka is also co-writer on top 10 hit "Answerphone" by Ella Eyre x Banx & Ranx ft. Yxng Bane. Shakka is a rising star and 2018 is proving to be a phenomenal year for him.
