IMPÉRIO DA RAINHA SCHOOL OF SAMBA Império da Rainha School of Samba is the only Brazilian School of Samba with a female president, Liani Devito. Originally from Brazil and closely connected to Schools of Samba in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Liani has founded Império da Rainha School of Samba in London. The school was born from the knowledge, love, and passion for Brazilian culture, and it is dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Brazilian samba by providing high-quality samba dance and music education to the local community. Our mission is to use Brazilian culture - so similar to the mix of cultures in London - to celebrate diversity, foster community engagement, and promote physical and emotional well-being to individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities through social dance, professional samba dance and drumming.
