The name Arawak comes from the name given to the indigenous peoples of the Greater Antilles of the Caribbean. Starting in 1999 with a foundation of Trinidadian roots and creative designs from Lynda Joseph, the Mas Band strongly aims to celebrate unity through music and art. With over 20 years of experience, the fully functioning Mas Band has expanded globally to Trinidad, Portugal, and The Netherlands, with our home being the United Kingdom for the Notting Hill Carnival. We incorporate the best costume designs and entertainers with a quality sound system, bringing the full experience to life. We are now a band comprising a team of dedicated, hard-working people and attendees.
