Gemz Mas / Gemz Mas International

Gemz Mas is an Artsmark Partner organisation promoting Carnival Arts in education. Our projects involve working with children and teenagers and we have been running workshops in educational settings since our inception in 2015. Many primary and secondary schools in London, Essex and Hertfordshire have hosted our Carnival Arts Masterclasses curated by Giselle Carter, our Artistic Director and supported by other artists and educators namely Professor Gus John, Celia Burgess-Macey, Lincoln Rahamut, Caroline Muraldo and Carl Gabriel. Gemz participation at Notting Hill Carnival started in 2015, first appearing with Cocoyea Mas band then with Elimu mas academy. Gemz launched it's adult brand, Gemz Mas International (aka GMI) in 2019.
