People’s World

People's World is an award winning carnival costume band and community group based in Tottenham, North London. We participate in community events locally, regionally and internationally, displaying the artform. Our costumes are quality, but low budget to enable as many local people (especially young people) to learn about and appreciate the history and techniques used in Carnival. We hold workshops throughout the year in arts and crafts and costume construction and other associated activities (music, dance, sports). Our theme for 2022 is Trail of Tears - Part Two - The Continuing Plight of the North American Indians, a theme we first portrayed in 1999.
