TRAVEL ADVICE FOR NOTTING HILL CARNIVAL
When Notting Hill Carnival is on, public transport in the area does not operate as usual. It remains the best way to get to and from Carnival, but please follow this advice and make note of these changes as it will give you a quicker journey and help you avoid any possible frustrations.

TUBE, LONDON OVERGROUND AND ELIZABETH LINE - EASIEST ROUTE
For the easiest and least crowded journey, take the Tube or Elizabeth line to Paddington Station. Notting Hill Carnival is a short walk away. Follow the signed route.
DOWNLOAD THE WALKING MAP TO AND FROM PADDINGTON FROM HERE
On your way home follow the signs to Paddington for either:
Elizabeth line and National Rail services (access from Bishop's Bridge Road adjacent to Eastbourne Terrace)
Bakerloo, Circle, District and Hammersmith & City lines (access from Paddington Square)
For the Bakerloo line, use the entrance in Paddington Square
For the District and Circle lines towards Earl's Court, Wimbledon or Victoria: use the Paddington Square entrance to the national rail station, then turn left and look for the stairs down to the Tube ticket hall
For the Hammersmith & City line, or the Circle line towards Baker Street and King's Cross St Pancras: use the Paddington Square entrance to the national rail station. Then turn right and follow the signs via platforms 12-14

Ladbroke Grove - Closed all day
Latimer Road - Closes 23:00
Notting Hill Gate - 11:00 to 18:00 no entry
Westbourne Park - From 11:00 no entry
Holland Park - 11:00 to 15:00:no entry. Closes 15:00
Queensway - 11:00 to 18:00 no entry - the station is exit only
Royal Oak - 11:00 to 18:00 no entry. Closes18:00
Kensal Rise - 18:00 Chamberlayne Road entrance closed
BUSES
There are special limited-stop bus services for carnival weekend:
148X to Victoria and Vauxhall - Runs between Notting Hill Gate and Victoria from 10:00-17:00, then Notting Hill Gate and Vauxhall until 22:00.
7X to East Acton - Serves all route 7 stops between Oxford Circus and Paddington and Du Cane Road and East Acton. Also calls at Lancaster Gate and Notting Hill Gate.
36X to Harrow Road - Runs between Peckham and Harrow Road in one direction only.
18X to Stonebridge Park - Runs between Warren Street and Stonebridge Park from 12:00 to 22:00.
23X to Victoria - Runs between Harrow Road, Prince of Wales and Victoria for four trips on Monday afternoon only.
CYCLE HIRE
Santander Cycles docking stations in the carnival area will be temporarily suspended from 14:00 on Saturday 29 August to 08:00 on Tuesday 1 September.
There will also be temporary access and parking restrictions on dockless e-bike and e-scooter schemes in the carnival area.
ACCESSIBLE TRAVEL
Use any TfL bus service to Paddington for step-free access to the Elizabeth line and the Bakerloo, Circle and Hammersmith & City lines.
Access to Shepherd's Bush Tube station is by stairs. Wheelchair access to the Mildmay line is with a manual boarding ramp.
