We receive much support from the local residents, and the vast majority make the most of their prime location, and revel in the atmosphere, either from their homes or out on the road with attendees and participants from all over the world. However, we acknowledge that the event can cause unwanted disruption and it’s important to us to have dialogue with all in our community. We have regular open meetings with strategic partners and residents before Carnival and one afterwards in October. We’ve also produced a booklet for NHC 2019. It’s our first official guide and it includes information specifically for residents, by giving an overview of what to expect, and a list of all services available to assist in making sure there is as little disruption as possible to local people and businesses. These booklets were delivered to over 60,000 residents, and are available to download below.
